The ShelbyWin direction is consistent: the larger the pack, the fewer coins each euro costs. At the top of the range a euro costs 5.5 coins against 10 coins at the bottom, so the €100 pack is 45% cheaper per euro than the €5 pack. That is the shape most shops take, and ours is no exception.
The one step where our own pricing dips
Consistent across the whole ShelbyWin range is not the same as consistent at every step, and the difference shows up when the packs are read as increments rather than as totals. Moving from €5 to €10 costs 40 extra coins for €5 more, which is 8 coins per euro. From €10 to €20 it is 60 coins for €10, or 6 per euro. That third ShelbyWin step is more expensive at the margin than the step before it, by one coin per euro. From €30 to €50 the rate drops to 5 per euro and from €50 to €100 to 4.6, so the sequence runs 8, 6, 7, 5, 4.6 rather than falling cleanly. We would rather point at the bump than let somebody find it by accident: the €30 pack is the only tier in our shop where the extra ten euros cost more per euro than the ten before them.
Splitting a purchase costs more than making it once
Because the ShelbyWin discount is built into the pack rather than into the total spend, combining smaller packs is always dearer than buying the size outright.
